November 24, 2025 | “Dissecting the Discord and Division in Dearborn” with Dexter Van Zile

Protesters from across the country gathered on the streets of Dearborn, Michigan, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to agitate against what they called the “Islamification” of the city and of the United States at large. Led by anti-Muslim agitator Jake Lang, who attempted to burn a Qur’an, the protesters later attended a meeting of the Dearborn City Council, where a journalist forcefully condemned the failure of local police to arrest counterprotesters who had assaulted Lang’s followers.

The Middle East Forum’s Dexter Van Zile, who has written extensively about Islamism in Dearborn while serving as managing editor of Focus on Western Islamism, will provide context to the confrontation in Dearborn and assess where the controversy is headed.
