Tommy Robinson has revealed he feared ‘something had been done to’ his prison food in official complaint letters.
Robinson was released from HMP Onley in Rugby on Wednesday after three leading judges in London quashed a contempt finding made at Leeds Crown Court in May.
But the English Defence League founder compared his sentence to ‘mental torture’ and demanded his status be upgraded to “enhanced” - a level which allows inmates the highest number of priviledges.
Robinson - real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - made formal complaints to HM Prison Service about the “high population of Muslims” in his jail.
He claims he was held in “isolation” and “locked up for 23 hours a day”.
