The TD Bank on Wilmington Pike was robbed at 7:37 p.m. Friday by a robber cloaked in black clothing, police said.
Wearing a black gown and headdress covering most of the face, the robber entered with a white plastic bag and passed a demand note to a teller, according to Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken, police said. The robber fled east in a white, older-model Oldmobile Cutlass sedan on Piedmont Road into the Pleasant Grove development. The suspect’s vehicle had a Delaware registration plate, according to police.
Detectives are working with Delaware State Police, who are investigating a similar robbery at a TD Bank earlier in the day in Delaware.
Investigators ask anyone who saw this robbery suspect or the robber’s vehicle to call the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department at 610-692-5100.
