Former White House Deputy Sebastian Gorka blamed Europe’s open borders for its uptick in Islamic terrorism and said leaders need better immigration policies to keep their citizens safe.
Several French police officers were ambushed while jogging Friday by someone pledging allegiance to the Islamic State. The gunman took hostages at a supermarket and was reportedly shot dead by police after killing multiple people.
“Twenty years ago they’d call in a hostage negotiator. They’d try and establish a line of communication, but with modern day jihadists they don’t want to negotiate,” Gorka said. “They want to kill as many people as possible.”
Gorka said this isn’t the first time radical Islam has taken hold in France and referenced the 2015 market shooting in Paris.
