At a BDS strategy session at the Modern Language Association annual convention, UC Berkeley’s Judith Butler and Stanford University’s David Palumbo-Liu attempted, and failed, to kick out Cary Nelson, a retired UIUC professor and leader of the anti-BDS MLA Members for Scholars’ Rights.
