Cole Silent on CW’s Duke Story

Juan Cole, an obsessive blogger whose prose is as verbose as it is wrong-headed, has chosen not to respond to David White’s CW-sponsored article, “Cole Case: So Much for the Accusations of a ‘Neocon’ Conspiracy.” It has now been a day and a half since White’s piece appeared--plenty of time for Cole to try to rebut it.

This mimics Cole’s non-reaction to White’s earlier article about Cole’s unpleasant experience at Yale, “Juan Cole and Yale: The Inside Story.” Published on August 3rd, White’s article didn’t raise any objections from Cole.

Conclusion: both of White’s articles hit home, with rigorous research backing his charges, and copious quotations from faculty sources at both institutions. There’s plenty of Cole to regret, but nothing for him to refute.
