“The Information War Against U.S.–Israel Intelligence Cooperation” with Alex Goldenberg

The Information War Against U.S.–Israel Intelligence Cooperation

U.S.–Israel intelligence cooperation gives both countries a major advantage against Iran and other hostile powers—but that strength has also made the alliance a target. Alex Goldenberg examines how Iran, Russia, and China use influence operations, antisemitic narratives, and existing political divisions to undermine public support for the relationship. How do foreign adversaries exploit domestic movements and media ecosystems, and can the alliance preserve the political foundations that allow intelligence cooperation to work?

Alex Goldenberg is founder and principal of Silent Index LLC, a national security advisory and research consultancy. He is a senior fellow at the Rutgers University Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience, an affiliate of NYU’s Institute for the Study of Emerging Threats, and a member of the advisory board of American University’s AURORA Program. Goldenberg has testified before Congress and advises policymakers and law enforcement officials on emerging threats. His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Quillette, The Hill, JNS, and other publications, and his work has been featured in the New York Times, Bloomberg, and France 24. He holds a master’s degree in global affairs from New York University, with a concentration in transnational security.
