“India in a Time of Change”
with Dr. Oshrit Birvadker

India in a Time of Change

In the midst of profound and rapid global change, India’s strategic partnerships are also evolving. What is the trajectory of India–U.S. relations, from their historical roots to today’s geopolitical realities? How does this evolution relate to India’s ties with Israel and other Middle Eastern countries? This discussion will examine the deepening India–Israel strategic partnership and explore the emerging trilateral potential among India, the United States, and Israel. It will also address pressing regional questions, including the challenge posed by Iran’s Chabahar Port, Chinese ambitions in the Middle East, and India’s response to the Gaza peace plan.

Dr. Oshrit Birvadker, PhD, is a senior fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS) and a leading expert on India’s foreign and national security policy. Recognized as Israel’s first dedicated researcher focused on India policy, she serves as a strategic consultant to governments and defense corporations, specializing in geopolitical risk and market-entry strategies. Dr. Birvadker has authored columns for ThePrint India (“Jewpanishads”) and TheMarker (“Miss India”) and currently writes the “Far-Near East” column for Haaretz.
