Beyond Hormuz: The Future of Middle East Trade Corridors” with Amit Mor
Recent wars and maritime disruptions have exposed the vulnerability of global trade to instability at the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Suez Canal. Amit Mor examines the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor and other potential alternatives, including overland routes through Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Turkey, regional pipeline networks, and maritime rerouting around the Cape of Good Hope. What lessons have governments, energy companies, and logistics providers learned, and how can they build more resilient transportation networks while balancing cost, efficiency, and geopolitical risk?

Amit Mor is CEO of Eco Energy Financial and Strategic Consulting and a senior lecturer at Reichman University. An expert on Middle Eastern energy, infrastructure, and economic development, he advises governments, corporations, and international organizations on energy markets, strategic planning, and major infrastructure projects. His work focuses on regional energy security, transportation corridors, cross-border cooperation, and the geopolitical forces shaping trade and investment in the Middle East.
