Police to investigate mosque’s Hamas link

Police in Copenhagen say they are prepared to investigate whether plans by Copenhagen’s first mosque to co-operate with a TV station linked to Hamas violates anti-terrorism legislation.

The announcement came the same day The Copenhagen Post reported that the station, Al-Aqsa, was one of the broadcasters the mosque, which is currently being built, intended to produce news reports for.

Jens Møller, head of the department’s violent crime division, said he was not aware of details of the agreement, but indicated that the department would look into whether it violated any laws.

Al Jazeera is also reportedly planning to use the mosque’s television production facilities.
