In March, anonymous letters were circulated in neighbourhoods in the U.K. calling for a “punish a Muslim” day on April 3. The origin of the letters could not be determined.
But one thing is sure: the Western world refuses to accommodate any hateful demands to victimize a religious minority. The day passed without incident, as many had predicted.
The letter called for various acts of bigotry and hostility toward Muslims, giving a few paltry points for low-level acts such as snatching the hijabs of women right up to a points bonanza for killing a Muslim or bombing mosques.
It is no surprise that whoever came up with this infantile scheme of co-ordinated attacks failed miserably. Thankfully, no mosque needed evacuating and not a single hijab was so much as ruffled.
