Hundreds attended a conference aimed at tackling female genital mutilation.
A campaign is being led by the county’s deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Arnold to stamp out the abuse.
On Tuesday a day-long conference was held at Stafford County Showground which saw professionals from a range of organisations come together to look at the problem.
Speakers included victims who explained more about the mutilation.
Following the event more than 400 delegates signed a pledge which vowed to tackle the problem in the county.
Mrs Arnold said: “All girls have the right to live free from this torture and child abuse.
