The military police at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport have suspended a Muslim woman because of fears she could be a danger to national security, the Telegraaf reports on Saturday.
The woman, named as Sabra R, is part of a team charged with combating terrorism and crime. According to the Telegraaf, the security service fears she could be susceptible to the influence of radical Muslims and can no longer be allowed to do her job.
The woman is fighting her suspension. 'How can anyone doubt my loyalty. I am totally anti-violence,' she says in the Telegraaf. The paper says at work she wears the military police uniform and changes into a 'traditional' dress and headscarf out of hours.
