Excerpt:
The Federation of Green Youth and Students (ViNO) would like to introduce the option of polygamous marriage to Finland, reports newspaper Iltalehti. ViNO believes that Finnish marriage laws discriminate against those who want multiple spouses.
The Federation's principles state that marriage laws should not dictate the gender or the number of a person's spouses.
ViNO's chair Inka Venetvaara told Iltalehti that a discussion would be needed on this topic and that the law should not forbid situations in which people live anyway.
