University of Toledo Professor Says ISIS Wants U.S. to Close Borders to Refugees [on Ovamir Anjum]

An Islamic Studies Professor at the University of Toledo says ISIS planned these attacks in direct response to countries taking in Syrian refugees.

Dr. Ovamir Anjum says ISIS is a politically disgruntled group - whose members have seen violence all throughout their lives. He also says this reaction from various governors is exactly what the terrorists wanted.

“Don’t let ISIS win by dividing up the world in the way that they want. It’s a very calculated act. It’s done to say to the world, ‘Look, the west is going to do what it does best. It’s going to wage war, not help your refugees.”

Dr. Anjum also says comparing Islam to ISIS is like comparing Christianity to the Ku Klux Klan.
