Buried in today’s Wall Street Journal and the New York Times was a news item trumpeting a report entitled: “Changing Course: A New Direction for U.S. Relations with the Muslim World”. The ‘gray lady’ rendition was headlined: “Report Seeks Engagement With Muslims By Diplomacy.” According to the Times:
The report was produced by 34 leaders drawn from religious, business, military, foreign policy, academic, foundation and nonprofit circles. The group included Democrats like Madeleine K. Albright, who was Secretary of State under President Bill Clinton, and two former Republican congressmen, Vin Weber and Steve Bartlett., Thomas Dine, a former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America. The members were selected by the sponsoring organizations, Search for Common Ground and the Consensus Building Institute, which both promote nonviolent conflict resolution.
What is particularly irritating is that this report comes in the midst of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York that has given the 21st Century version of Adolph Hitler, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a rostrum and forum for his hateful noxious genocidal ideas. It is also disquieting that our government has permitted him to hold court at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in mid-town Manhattan this week under the protection of DHS security agents and the NYPD. Witness the interfaith Ramadan Iftar dinner to be held at the Grand in honor of Ahmadinejad tomorrow night. While there will protests outside, the press will doubtless concentrate on the tableau going on inside. They have even invited 15 American Iranian Jews to this Ramadan feast. Many of the latter still probably do business in Iran, to what end other than profit, I don’t know.
This is the latest disgraceful infiltration by Muslim Brotherhood Fronts trying to mainstream their real agenda, recognition of Sharia in America.
Not lost on me is that Muslim convert, an acknowledged Wahhabist, Dr. Ingrid Mattson, current head of the Islamic Society of North America, member of the faculty at the Hartford (CT) Seminary involved with certification of Muslim Military chaplains, was one of the spokespersons for this cabal of useless dhimmi idiots.

What struck me was the absolute ignorance of Islam on the part of the American signatories who, except for the Muslims who know exactly what they are doing, have been involved after years of public service dealing with Islamic counterparts, Madeleine Albright for example.
We are not talking about mere “fundamentalism” but of people who use the texts of the Qur’an and the Hadiths to maintain that the world is divided into the Domain of Islam and the Domain of Evil or Satan and that those in the latter Domain will sooner or later have only the choice of accepting the dominion of Islam or being killed. They have no wiggle room and they aim to use WMDs.
So here we have a group of American “leaders” who act as if they are dealing with institutions akin to those of the West where a Vatican II could make it possible for the Catholic Church to reform itself and fully enter the modern world. In reality, these “leaders” are useful idiots for an Islam that knows no compromise.
I will bet you a fairly large sum, that not a single one of these people know the Sira from salad and think that Hadith is a Scottish dish using a sheep’s stomach.
Hitler (and Stalin) was accorded the same fawning respect at the Olympics and other international forums before the war started.
