Middle East Studies Profs Participate in Amherst ‘Decolonization’ Event

Last month, Middle East studies academics took part in an eventat Amherst College devoted to “decolonization,” which, according to organizer John Drabinski, involves “de-centering whiteness and white racial hegemony” and “remaking the world and creating new forms of sociality, politics and culture.” In other words, divisive identity politics and utopian schemes that never end well.
