Center for Jewish Studies Features Anti-Semitic Communist Shlomo Sand on “How I Stopped Being a Jew”

Jewish Studies, like American Studies, and a lot of similar fields, is rotten with radical leftists pursuing hateful agendas. Jewish Studies and American Studies are often really Anti-Jewish and Anti-American Studies.

This is an excellent case in point.

The London Middle East Institute (LMEI) and the Centre for Jewish Studies at SOAS, University of London invite you to a presentation and discussion of the new book by Prof. Shlomo Sand, University of Tel Aviv: How I Stopped Being a Jew

If the Centre for Jewish Studies wants to feature Sand’s bigoted rantings, maybe it should change its name to the Centre for Non- Jewish Studies or the Centre for Anti- Jewish Studies.

But this is more useful since it tellingly shows how left Jewish Studies departments are not merely anti-Israel when they endorse BDS, but negate their entire phony claim to a Jewish identity.

The description gives an extended biography of Shlomo Sand. It neglects to mention the fact that Sand is a Communist who is simply repeating the existing Marxist position that Jews are not a distinct people and have no right to a country.

This was a racist position rooted in the bigotry of its founder Karl Marx who claimed, among other things, that “The god of the Jews is money”.

Sand’s book is a joke. His history is the sort of thing you expect from random racist conspiracy theorists on the internet. It’s so bad that he makes David Irving look good. Despite that his racist ravings garnered positive reviews from media outlets such as the New York Times that would never similarly open for identical works by anti-Semitic historians of the right.

Here’s what Sand had to offer the last time he was in London.

He called Israel “the most racist society in the world” and said that he has been fighting “Jewish racism all my life”

And he declared that anti-Semitism doesn’t exist in the western world today.

Sand’s reception in the West proves that it does.
