Co-founder of Berkeley's Zaytuna College, Imam Zaid Shakir, invoked Sharia law in a since-deleted Facebook post on Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Instead of calling for corroborating evidence, Shakir insisted that four witnesses were required and that 80 lashes were the punishment for bearing false witness. In his apology, Shakir again referred to the Koran rather than the US Constitution, which, last we checked, is still the law of the land.
