Campus Watch Responds:

David Hirsh mischaracterizes the words of a blog entry that I posted on December 21 in which I called attention to comments by Al Quds University president Sari Nusseibeh. I at no time called for a boycott to be launched against Al Quds, Nusseibeh, or anyone else.

A comment sent to my by Harvard professor James R. Russell does call for a boycott, but that is his opinion, not CW’s.

On the chance that Hirsh’s mischaracterization was an error--he does qualify his charge with the word “seems"--I hope he’ll correct it.

Campus Watch does not call for boycotts; we also do not take positions on questions of tenure or on campus speakers.
