“Syria: A Moral Failure”
with Rawan Osman

Syria: A Moral Failure

A week ago, forces loyal to the government of President Ahmed Shaara of Syria crossed the Euphrates River, engaging fighters of the U.S.-aligned Syrian Democratic Forces. As of now, it has become clear that the intention is to destroy the SDF. There have been widespread atrocities, including the beheading of prisoners. The security of facilities holding Islamic State members has been compromised, with hundreds of terrorists escaping. Throughout, forces present ignored requests to intervene. What will happen next? Can the Islamist government be trusted to oversee ISIS prisoners?
