Venue Cancels Chicago Caliphate Conference

On Thursday, June 7, we sent out a special e-mail alert asking you to contact The Meadows Club of Rolling Meadows, Illinois about their hosting of a conference by the jihadist group named Hizb ut-Tahrir (HUT). It didn’t take long for the venue to feel the heat and now Hizb ut-Tahrir’s website has posted the following message on its conference web site:

“ALERT: We regret to inform you that the venue that had agreed to host our event previously is no longer willing to accommodate our Khilafah Conference. We are currently in the process of finding a new location for the event. The new venue will be announced as soon as possible. We will also provide more details on the circumstances leading to the change in venue.”

YOU DID IT! This victory is proof that citizen activism works. We don’t have to stand idly by and let Islamist radicals take advantage of our freedoms—but this particular fight isn’t over just yet. HUT says it is seeking a new venue. As soon as this new venue is disclosed, we will let you know and provide its contact information.

We thank the Meadows Club for listening to the concerns of those that contacted it and making the right decision.
