A spiritual leader was told to expect jail after being found guilty of the indecent assault of a boy in a mosque 25 years ago.
Mohammed Rabani, now 61, denied the allegations and claimed they were invented because he opposed a family's business plan to redevelop the mosque.
After a trial at Nottingham Crown Court, the imam was found guilty of three charges involving a boy, who is now married and a father.
Judge Gregory Dickinson QC told Rabani: "The jury found you guilty of these serious charges. A prison sentence is inevitable.
"Be in no doubt, this means prison. The jury found you guilty of repeated sexual abuse of a young boy entrusted to your care.
