Park View teacher told pupils he 'wanted an Islamic state', teacher disciplinary hearings told Head of Year Abid Ali also allegedly backed pupils when they refused to be taught by a gay teacher
Senior leaders at a chain of Birmingham schools at the heart of the so-called Trojan Horse scandal failed to take action against a teacher who told pupils he wanted an "Islamic state", a hearing was told.
Abid Ali, Head of Year 11 at Park View Academy, also allegedly backed a refusal by pupils to be taught by a gay teacher, saying, "Well as Muslims that's what we believe".
The claims were made by the Alum Rock school's former associate vice principal Stephen Packer at a National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) hearing in Coventry.
