Tower Hamlets mayor claims Labour party bears 'hallmarks of institutional racism'
The controversial mayor of Tower Hamlets today claimed that the Labour Party bears "hallmarks of institutional racism".
Lutfur Rahman, who is the independent mayor of the east London borough was previously a Labour leader on the council.
Today he told a special High Court hearing that he had been part of a "new generation of ethnic minority candidates" in the Labour Party.
