Number of FGM victims in England and Wales rockets in past decade
The number of victims of female genital mutilation living in England and Wales has rocketed in a decade, figures reveal.
New data shows that 103,000 women aged between 15 and 49 who have migrated to England and Wales are living with the consequences of FGM.
This is a 56 per cent increase from previous estimates when experts thought there were 66,000 such women living here.
