Excerpt:
Although Imran Firasat was acquitted on a hate crime charge tied to his movie The Innocent Prophet, he continues to face the possibility of being deported from Spain back to Pakistan.
He warns that if that happens, he will face death under Sharia.
Firasat converted from Islam to Christianity in 2004. He had been a Muslim for 26 years when his opinion became that Islam is "not a religion" but a "political dictatorship which persecutes and teaches to persecute." Once he began to tell Pakistanis his views on Islam, he was forced to flee for his life. Spain granted him asylum; the continuance of that asylum is the point in question at this time.
