In response to Steven Schreiber’s letter praising Yale University Press’ refusal to print an image of Muhammad, I wonder when are we going to stop being intimidated by fundamentalist Islam?
Weren’t the Sept. 11 attacks enough? We have bent over backwards far too long trying not to offend people. At some point, we must stop this foolishness.
Both Schreiber and Yale University Press do this nation a great disservice hiding behind a nonsensical claim of being a “high value target.” Every American is a high value target and to place Yale on some pedestal above everyday Americans is supreme arrogance.
