Steven Salaita, whose anti-Semitic rants helped nix his appointment at the Univ. of Illinois two years ago, is out at the American University of Beirut after a one-year stint. AUB’s president concluded that “there were numerous significant violations of university policies and procedures in connection with the search,” the News-Gazette of Champaign, IL, reports.
