Reza Aslan Calls for Kellyanne Conway to Be ‘Eradicated’ Over Her Response to Mass Shootings

Scholar and former CNN host Reza Aslan reacted to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s response to two deadly mass shootings by calling for her to be “eradicated.”

After a shooter opened fire at an El Paso, Texas Walmart on Saturday, killing 20 people, and another nine people were killed during another shooting hours later in Dayton, Ohio, Conway called for unity across the United States to address the tragedies.

“We need to come together, America. Finger-pointing, name-calling & screaming with your keyboards is easy, yet... It solves not a single problem, saves not a single life,” she tweeted. “Working as one to understand depraved evil & to eradicate hate is everyone’s duty. Unity. Let’s do this.”

Aslan, who parted ways with CNN following backlash over his profane anti-Trump tweets, responded, saying Conway is an “evil” that “we need to eradicate.”

“You are ‘the depraved evil’ we need to eradicate,” he wrote.

Earlier in the day, he lashed out at special assistant to the president and first daughter Ivanka Trump, who reacted to the incidents by tweeting, “White supremacy, like all other forms of terrorism, is an evil that must be destroyed.”

“F--- you Ivanka. Seriously. F--- you and your entire white supremacist family,” Aslan wrote in response.

The gunman in the Dayton shooting was shot and killed by police at the scene. The El Paso shooter, however, was taken into custody without incident. While the El Paso suspect has been tied to an anti-immigrant manifesto, the Dayton shooter reportedly supported gun control and socialism.
