Loyola Prof Acts As ‘Cultural Consultant’ for Amazon’s ‘Jack Ryan’

Loyola University, Chicago Islamic studies professor and chaplain Omer M. Mozaffar was brought in as a “cultural consultant” on Amazon’s new series Jack Ryan, but states that “I don’t think there’s any real urgency in Hollywood to be culturally sensitive to Arabs, or Muslims.” Meanwhile, this reviewer describes the show as “a jingoistic fetishisation of all things red, white and blue at the expense of the wicked Arab bombers.” You can’t win.
