Khan Wrong to Blame West for Latest War [Letter to the Editor; on Muqtedar Khan]

In the Global Voice piece on Tuesday, Professor Muqtedar Khan correctly and succinctly states, "?248-175?Hamas shot a few rockets into Israel; but that is who they are and that is what they do -- they are a terrorist organization.” This is worth repeating. This is who they are.

This is what they do. Yet, interestingly Khan comes to the conclusion that everyone else is to blame, namely Western societies and Israel. Wrong.

He should put the blame squarely where it belongs -- on the terrorists, their supporters and the communities that allow themselves to fall victim to thugs and murderers who have a disreputable code of honor, no code of decency and no code of respect for anyone including their own people.
