Iranian Regime Imprisons Princeton Middle East Scholar

Following the Middle East Studies Association (MESA)'s letter last week to the Iranian regime objecting to its imprisonment of Princeton University PhD student Xiyue Wang, who was doing historical research in Iran with permission from authorities, the UN has “issued a strongly worded opinion” calling for his immediate release. Wang is just the latest Middle East scholar from the U.S. to be imprisoned by Iran’s regime on false allegations of spying.
