Fiasco at the War College: An Update [incl. Middle East Studies Association]

Remember the mess at the Army War College, where internal e-mails indicate that I was blackballed because of what I wrote about the Bush administration in my book Fiasco? It turns out that the Middle East Studies Association wrote a letter of concern last June to the Army War College’s commandant about an allegation of the infringement of academic freedom. Amy Newhall, the group’s executive director, tells me by e-mail that they haven’t received any response. Such neglect makes me wonder whether the commandant cares about the college’s accreditation.
