Columnist Mislabels Worries about Terrorism as Bigotry [on Muqtedar Khan]

Professor Muqtedar Khan made some insulting remarks in his Aug. 24 article about all who dare to disagree with him.

There are, however, good reasons why many Americans are apprehensive of Islam because of its historic intolerance as it still is practiced in Islamic nations. While the founders of major religions such as Jesus of Nazareth, the Buddha and Confucius were nonviolent, the great Prophet Mohammed was in charge of military operations and demanded the execution of those who opposed him. Sharia law is incompatible with the present moral standards of Western Civilization.My Islamic friends are contributing, intelligent and peaceful citizens and so are most Muslims. But daily reports of cruel executions in the name of Islam do not foster confidence. Calling those who disagree with him bigots, vulgar and hateful will not enhance the image of Islam Professor Khan wants to achieve.
