The Algemeiner reports that a high school in Ontario, Canada is investigating a since-removed poster alleging that Israel conducts “human testing” on Palestinians. The poster was hung in a hallway as part of a project for a twelfth-grade class on “social justice.”
While the existence of a class based on indoctrinating students with leftist politics---and the anti-Israel prejudices that come with them---is bad enough, the fact that anti-Semitic conspiracy-theories of this sort are not unusual in the “educational” sphere is even worse.
Rutgers University professor Jasbir Puar has made a career of promoting blood libels, including a controversial 2016 lecture accusing Israel of harvesting organs from Palestinians and a recent book---published by Duke University Press--that does the same with allegations of purposeful maiming. Far from being discredited by peddling such bigotry, Puar is a celebrated professor with awards to her name and academic publishers eager to disseminate her work. Yet we wonder where on earth Canadian high school students could have picked up such abhorrent ideas?
