Bloggers Getting Under Cole’s Skin [on U of Michigan’s Juan Cole]

In early October, at the University of Pennsylvania , Middle-East history professor Juan Cole will speak at The Second Annual Nearing Award for the Advancement of Social and Political Issues in the Face of Institutional Resistance.

Known for his “belief in a conspiracy of Jewish “neo-conservatives” that runs U.S. Middle East policy” and his “fact-stretching statements” (see David Horowitz’s The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Professors in America), Cole will speak on “Blogging as a Challenge to the Academy.”

(For more information, contact Sarah Salwen at sfsalwen@sas.upenn.edu. One trusts the event will be open to bloggers.)
