I regret to inform you that I have decided to postpone the Second Annual Forum on Interntional Conflict Resolution: Revisiting the Middle East Peace Process, scheduled for January 27 at Columbia University.
Several government officials -- Israeli, Palestinian and American -- who had agreed to participate have informed me that they will be unable to attend because they must remain in or travel to the Middle East this week. As a result, I decided that the conference should be postponed.
The conference will be rescheduled for September, when greater participation by government officials, NGOs, historians and other knowledgable persons, will be more likely. I know that you join me in feeling disappointment over this postponement, but I sincerely hope you will be able to join us for the rescheduled forum in September.
