Memorial High School (NJ) removed Ramadan posters that exhorted "Allah" to "shower" students with blessings two days after the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) sent the district a legal warning that the school "was unlawfully promoting Islam."
FCDF is now investigating the incident, including the involvement of two Muslim students who, in addition to setting up the religious displays, were going class-to-class and interrupting lessons, purportedly to teach students about Ramadan. It turns out their activities were sponsored by the North Hudson Islamic Educational Center's "Dawah Committee," which promotes proselytizing to "our neighbors and friends."
FCDF's findings on this matter, and on the wider effort to use American public schools for Islamic proselytizing, is eye-opening. Read the whole thing.
