After the most recent terrorist attacks in London, CNN host Reza Aslan called the President a "piece of shit." In a tweet which is now deleted he said, "This piece of shit is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind." He later called Trump a "man baby who must be ignored in a time of crisis."
But this was not the first time Aslan called Trump "shit." In September 2016, he tweeted about then-candidate Trump and his son Donald Trump, Jr. "Like piece of shit father, like piece of shit son," he said. That one has recently disappeared, but here's a screen grab:
However, Aslan has a habit of tweeting out ridiculously offensive comments. Now that the heat is on this CNN personality, some of his old, horrible tweets are disappearing as well. For example, remember when Missouri Congressman Todd Akin made this comment? "If it's legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down," he said. Everyone, naturally, went nuts over his ridiculous comment.
But Reza Aslan was really, really mad over the whole thing. Well, at least he was according to his a Tweet sent in August 2012. "Just to be clear I was indeed wishing someone would rape congressman Todd Akin," he tweeted. "I'd hate to be misunderstood." This tweet has recently disappeared, too.
The media like to complain about how Donald Trump needs to stop tweeting in the middle of the night, but maybe it's the media who need to step away from their laptops. One thing's for sure: CNN needs to stop associating with this hothead who advocates for sexual violence against his political opponents and calls the President of the United States "shit."
