The Islamic Saudi Academy, an Islamic school in northern Virginia, has updated the textbooks it uses to teach students about Islam. While several passages considered inflammatory have been deleted some questionable language remains. The new texts only state that women should cover their bodies. Previous versions required them to cover their faces and bodies. In this latest version the word "infidels" has been replaced with the term "non Muslims. " But the authors of the text make their contempt for Judaism and Christianity quite clear. "Scholars of the people of the book know Islam is the true path because they find it in their books," an eleventh-grade textbook reads. "But they shy away out of ignorance and stubbornness. And God knows their deeds and will judge them." Another passage in the texts encourages Muslims to be careful of accepting wedding and party invitations from non Muslims. And just to show how little Muslim texts have changed in the last 500 years the texts contain an entire chapter on sorcery.
