Now, we have to face them: photos of charred babies; families tortured in front of each other before being butchered at a kibbutz; 300 dead at a music festival ambushed by terrorists. Rape, bodies paraded to cheering Palestinian crowds, and civilian hostages, including over a dozen Americans, abducted to Gaza, putting their loved ones in a desperate state.
How could all of this happen? A thousand Hamas terrorists breached Israel’s fortified border by air, land, tunnel, and sea. Why now? Who else is involved? The questions need to be asked. Meanwhile, Israel is striking back, bombing every Hamas-related site in Gaza, determined to remove the terrorist group from power once and for all. And there’s the risk that this conflict spreads.
Tensions are high in the United States, too. Security is on high alert as Hamas calls for radical Islamists everywhere to join the fight. The night of Jihad saw huge marches in every city where borders are open.
On campuses, leftist groups are staging pro-Palestine rallies defending Hamas’s attack, coming face to face with others showing steadfast support for Israel. President Joe Biden is coming out strong. Thousands in Germany sang the Israeli national anthem at the Brandenburg gate.
We speak with a survivor of the Supernova Music Festival ambush, Nick Zhiharev. He escaped, but some friends did not: they were murdered and kidnapped.
