PHILADELPHIA – October 6 – 2026. The Middle East Forum today opened its research to the public on 17 free sites for policymakers, journalists, scholars, and citizens. Each site links its figures to the public record they come from, and every site carries one MEF Menu that leads to all the others. The sites are open access, with no registration and no paywall.
The Iran Ledger (iran.meforum.org) holds 959 public profiles of the officials, security organs, banks, and companies of the Islamic Republic; 891 carry at least one designation. It records 905 designation events across the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, and 259 open gaps across 58 profiles: parties one of those governments has screened but not designated. Data are current as of October 6, 2026. Its Blood Money section (iran.meforum.org/blood-money/) documents the crimes against humanity in the regime’s 2025 to 2026 crackdown and the money behind it, and an Iran press coverage page (iran.meforum.org/press-coverage) sorts what the region’s press reports on Iran each day. MEF’s report Hammer and Anvil and its briefing, and the Blood Money report and fact sheet are available as PDFs.
MEF Map (map.meforum.org) places MEF data layers on one open map, among them Iranian energy sites, designated parties and vessels, sanctions by country, campus foreign funding, and UNOSAT damage assessments in Gaza.
Each site links its figures to the public record they come from, and every site carries one MEF Menu that leads to all the others.
The Government Graph (graph.meforum.org) maps who holds office across 17 Middle East governments and dates each officeholder, with the source beside each claim. The Influence Tracker (influence.meforum.org) reads Foreign Agents Registration Act filings and university foreign gift disclosures from the federal record and lists 147 Middle East principals with an active registration. The Shia Militia Tracker (militias.meforum.org) maps 7,438 dated events from 1989 to 2026 involving 14 named Shia militias and movements. The Campus Watch Map (campusmap.meforum.org) places $75.80 billion in Section 117 disclosures from 555 mapped U.S. institutions on one map. Nationwide, universities have disclosed $8.98 billion from Qatar across 1,338 disclosed gifts and contracts (Education Department, September 30, 2026). Jihad Intel (jihadintel.meforum.org) returns with designation status current as of October 6, 2026.
MEF Policy Notes (notes.meforum.org) gives congressional staff 6 two-page notes, each with a PDF and audio, and Find an MEF Expert (experts.meforum.org) profiles 47 scholars and fellows and their 5,596 bylined MEF pieces.
The Forum’s archives open alongside: the MEQ Issue Index (meq.meforum.org) covers 132 issues of the Middle East Quarterly since 1994, and MEQ book reviews (books.meforum.org) makes 1,412 reviews by 312 reviewers searchable. The MEF Press Readout (readout.meforum.org) gives a daily digest of the Iranian, Turkish, Israeli and Arab presses; Israel Vote 2026 (israelvote.meforum.org) tracks every published poll for the October 27 Knesset election; MEF Translations (translations.meforum.org) publishes Forum analyses in eight languages (Arabic, French, Farsi, Hebrew, Turkish, Kurdish, German, and Spanish); MEF Interactives (interactives.meforum.org) presents graphics-led editions of MEF research; and MEF Research Products (products.meforum.org) lists 36 products. Support MEF (support.meforum.org) sets out ways to give, including Giving Circles.
“Sanctions on Tehran work only when governments act on the same facts. Until today, those facts sat in five registers, in five formats, and nobody had lined them up,” said Gregg Roman, executive director of the Middle East Forum. “Now they sit on one page, with the source attached to every row, for a staffer in Washington and a reporter in London alike.”
Each site states its method and the date of its data. Corrections and source questions go to info@meforum.org.
