UK demo to seek Mueen’s deportation

PM’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy urges people to join demo on facebook

The ICT Bangladesh Support Forum will stage a demonstration in front of the British Parliament in London on Wednesday, demanding the deportation of war criminal Chowdhury Mueenuddin.

The demonstration at Westminster will be staged from 10am to 11:59am, so people can show their solidarity with this national demand for justice.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has posted a status in this regard on his official facebook page on Tuesday.

According to the post, the demonstration will be staged to press home the demand of bringing back Mueenuddin to Bangladesh to face justice.

Joy urged his facebook fans to join the demonstration in London.

Earlier on November 3, the war crimes tribunal sentenced fugitive al-Badr leaders Chowdhury Mueen Uddin and Ashrafuzzaman Khan to death for their involvements with the killing of 18 intellectuals between December 11 and 15, 1971.

However, Britain has refused to extradite Chowdhury Mueen Uddin who is now a British citizen.
