Try on a hijab in Nottingham on World Hijab Day

Non-Muslim women can try out life under the traditional Hijab head scarf on World Hijab Day on Sunday, February 1.

The KQZ Institute, a Nottingham community group, and Sisters in the Community, who support Muslim women, will be inviting people to try on the scarf between 11am and 4pm.

Members of the organisations will be outside the Council House, in Market Square.

The event encourages non-Muslim women (or even Muslim women who do not ordinarily wear one) to don the hijab and experience and discuss the tradition.
