Last week, the Clarion Project exposed the Islamist extremism and anti-Semitism of the organizers of the “Million Muslim March on 9/11" in Washington D.C. (After being joined by 9/11 “Truther” groups, the event is now being called the “Million American March Against Fear.”)
The article caught the attention of the march’s organizers. It seems they aren’t too happy with the incriminating facts presented by Clarion Project’s article or with a prominent Muslim leader that is also speaking out loudly against them.
Surprisingly, the leading organizer of the event, the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC), posted on their website a call-in number for conference call for oranizers of the event.
On that call, which took place August 24, our article was specifically mentioned.
“I’m gonna say, this with like, overwhelming concern. There’s this story on a website called the Clarion Project,” says one participant on the call.
“There’s definitely, without question, when it gets to a level like that, where Ryan Mauro, the guy who wrote that story …they are trying to call out, like, the highest order against us here,” he continues.
American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) – the event’s organizers -- also posted a press release viciously attacking Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, a devout Muslim, for his opposition to their event:
Jasser and his organization, the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, released a statement in which they called the rally a “disgrace.”
“We stand against terror, against anti-Semitism, and against the toxic ideology you have claimed will bring a ‘million Muslims’ to the capital of this great nation. We take heart, knowing this will not happen—and we remain steadfast in our condemnation of your event, your ideology, and your goals,” the statement read.
Jasser is a medical doctor who spent 11 years as a medical officer in the U. S. Navy. He also served as the attending physician to the U.S. Congress. Last year, Jasser was appointed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).
Dr. Jasser is an internationally recognized expert against political Islam and American Islamist organizations. He is regularly featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The New York Post, The Dallas Morning News, CNN, CBS, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and BBC and a frequent commentator on nationally syndicated radio programs. Jasser is also a frequent speaker at national and international events including universities, places of worship, and government venues.
Yet, in its press release, AMPAC had this to say about Jasser: " …the least popular Muslim in America, Zuhdi Jasser. If Malcolm X were alive today, he would call Jasser the worst “house Muslim” of all time. Jasser has made a career out of non-stop, utterly specious attacks on mainstream American Muslims. As a result, virtually everyone in the American Muslim community who has heard of Jasser despises him.”
As one Muslim friend of the Clarion Project said in response, “They like Zuhdi less than Nidal Hassan. Revealing!”
In a related development, it has been discovered that the rally’s organizer, AMPAC head MD Rabbi Alam, is also behind a “Million Muslim March in Bangladesh” in support of the Islamists in his native country. The event’s purpose is to “protest violence against Islam.”
A little background: The secular Bangladeshi government has been cracking down on the Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami party, essentially the Muslim Brotherhood wing in Bangladesh.
The Clarion Project reported on August 5 that Jamaat-e-Islami has been barred from running in the elections in Bangladesh there because of its advocacy for Sharia Law and its refusal to abide by Bangladesh’s constitution. Leaders of the group have also being put on trial for committing war crimes allegedly committed during Bangladesh’s succession from Pakistan.
Jamaat-e-Islami has reacted with mobilizing protests, claiming that any attack on them is an attack on Islam. MD Rabbi Alam, the organizer of the “Million American March Against Fear on 9/11,” is heeding their call.
