Four men charged with racially aggravated public order offences in Barnet appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court on Friday and admitted throwing eggs at passers by.
Mohammed Khalfia, 19, Haider Al-Fardan, 21, Mohammed Jawad, 20, and Aimen Mohamed, 19, all of Wembley, were charged with a total of 12 separate offences.
They admitted to throwing eggs but they denied there was any racial motivation.
They appeared at the court following accusations that in December 2011 pedestrians had eggs thrown at them and were subjected to racist, or otherwise offensive, comments in Golders Green and Hendon.
The men will be sentenced at Hendon Magistrates Court in April.
