Writer, publicist and author of The Mosque of Notre Dame Yelena Chudinova believes that if hijab is allowed in European countries in future they will have to live in compliance with Sharia laws.
“The thing is not in hijab as such, but hijab will be followed by nikab and then Sharia laws. It concerns society,” she told Interfax-Religion.
Chudinova is convinced that integration of Muslims in European culture should be more intensive.
“When Muslim woman steps on the European soil, she should know that perhaps she will have to give up certain elements of her dress code, but we will never, in no circumstances will expose her to beating with stones,” she said.
Chudinova believes that Europe and Russia as its part is based on three wheels “on antique culture, Roman law and Christian faith.”
“If any of these three components is excluded, Europe will perish. Europe stars understanding it,” she stressed.
According to Chudinova, she will speak about triumph of true democracy only if she comes to Arabic countries and “demonstrate her blond hair there without fear of being shoot for this,” as “democracy should be bilateral, not unilateral.”
