Frankly, My Dear, I Don’t Give A Damn

My sculpture, “Aisha from behind the veil,” has been sold to a private buyer who very quickly bought the artwork even after it was removed from the Glass Artist Gallery because of potential negative ramifications.

After 32 years of being involved in various ways with the Glass Artist Gallery in Sydney, Maureen Cahill, the gallery director and one of my dearest friends and mentors since I was a student at Sydney College of the Arts, has notified me that I can no longer sell my personal work, my exploration of the Islamic ideology, via the Glass Artist Gallery because of realistic fears about the dangers that their sale would place the Gallery in.

The Gallery is not situated in a suitable location or building that would enable it to withstand any form of protest or attack on any level, either by verbal intimidation or violent act by the extreme Left or Muslims of the extreme type.

This comes after 21 months of negative campaigning and physical attacks on my mural and building in Newtown, Sydney, Australia by the crazy Left -- consisting of the Socialist Alliance, anarchists, the Greens, a twisted group called the Anti-Bogans that are in fact the biggest “Neo Bogans” in Australia, and people of the Islamic ideology.

The personal attacks on me via the Internet are also now increasing. You Tube is one of the Leftists’ and Islamic supremacists’ favourite platforms for creative lying and make-believe. This gives me no choice other than to distance myself from the Glass Artist Gallery, in order to protect it and all the other artists who are part of it.

The outpouring of support from individuals who believe in free speech has not been lost on me. They have been open and generous in their kind words and eagerness to see the next body of work in my ongoing discussion of the Islamic ideology.

In just 21 months, I have come to understand the dangers of the concept of submission on a totally new level. I will be very busy in the next six months creating and constructing multiple bodies of work, including:

- “Homage to Theo": Submission revisited.
- Symbolism/motifs of the crimes against humanity of Nazism, Communism, and the totalitarianism of Islam.
- The Koran, 114 suras cast in truth.

This may be seen by some members of the human race as a declaration of something “Islamophobic,” but luckily they don’t control the Free World.

“Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

I have always wanted to use that line.
