A steady stream of tender and passionate declarations of love to a 13-year-old male student at a Muslim private school in Copenhagen has cost a young teacher her job.
The 25-year-old woman also faces charges of violating the young boy’s modesty – a form of harassment.
Police said the woman sent hundreds of messages to the boy via the messaging service Viber. The love notes started last November and came to an abrupt end this February when the boy’s mother took a look at his phone.
The case was reported to the police, and the teacher was fired from her job.
Hot for student
Among the messages sent to the 13-year-old were the teacher’s declarations of how much she longed for the boy, wanted to cuddle with him and hold him close. She messaged that “she would never do those things if [the boy’s] mother were around”.
The teacher is expected to confess her indiscretion to the court in Glostrup. In a similar case in 2013, the accused teacher was given a fortnight in jail.
